Drug Discovery and Development (Master)
The Master's degree course in Drug Discovery and Development offers excellent opportunities to qualify for a career in the field of drug research and development, whether in an academic environment or in the pharmaceutical industry.
The research-oriented course is offered by the Cologne University of Applied Sciences and the University of Cologne and leads to a joint degree from both universities. It teaches skills that enable students to work in the research and development of innovative medicinal products along the entire value chain. The course is aimed at graduates of relevant degree courses in the chemical, biological or medical-pharmaceutical fields. After successful completion, the path is open to immediate entry into pharmaceutical research and development or a doctorate. Possible fields of work as young scientists are in the pharmaceutical industry, in national and international regulatory authorities and in academia.
